1. What are the most important advices for using the card at ATMs?
- Do not try to use an ATM if there is a possibility of tampering or you notice any additional accessories at the card-inserting place.
- Avoid offers of assistance in the use of ATMs from people you do not know.
- Make sure there are no people watching you when you enter your PIN in the ATM. Ask people around you to give you small privacy.
- Do not forget to receive your card from the ATM machine when you finish, and do not neglect to keep the ATM receipts.

2. How can I use my card for purchases at the merchants?
- When you finish the shopping and before leaving the store, go to the cashier to pay for your purchases with your card.
- Do not give the card to anyone and keep it always in your hand, the cashier will ask you to insert the card in the point of sale machine and enter the card PIN code.
- You can use the contactless payment feature as soon as you tap the card with the POS device that has contactless symbol.
- Make sure the amount shown on POS screen before entering the PIN, and avoid watching the PIN from anyone around you.
- Be sure to receive your purchase receipt issued by the POS machine and pay attention to the amounts it shows.
- Don't forget to make sure you have your card with you before leaving the store.

3. What are the top tips for secure online payment?
- Check the site that you are use for shopping carefully and try to make sure it is reliable; there are many fake websites that take the same design of well-known companies’ websites.
Read and confirm the website address spelling.
- The logout page and payment page should always be in HTTPS secured format, which means that the communication between your browser and the website is encrypted.
- Do not use VPN proxy applications to access blocked websites in the country where you are, most of these applications are not safe and allow the hacking of your data.
- Make sure you use antivirus software and keeping your operating system updated when you shop on your PC.
- Avoid making payments from public computers, or devices connected to public Wi-Fi hotspots.
- Do not neglect to read the terms and conditions of purchases and return policy of store where you shop.
- Many websites display 3D Secure logo one-time password (OTP) payment. An SMS is sent to your mobile with a 6-digit password. Enter it to verify the purchase once.
- When paying with the debit card, some websites may ask you to enter your four-digit PIN code. It is a normal measure for more protection.
- When entering the card data, make sure that you are the only person watching the screen of the computer or mobile device. Do not disclose your card details or passwords to anyone and do not send a photo of the card or its data details via email or various mobile applications.

4. I usually travel outside Qatar, how can I ensure my credit card works?
- The bank's risk department may suspend the card immediately in case of any doubt about any transaction made by your card at any of the unknown merchants outside Qatar.

You can also whitelist your cards through internet banking
Do not forget to de-whitelist your cards once you are back to Qatar.
